There is a clear gap between KG 5 and KG 6, with KG 6 appearing as a peculiar group. WERE THERE ONE OR TWO MINTS IN SOUTH-WESTERN SCANDINAVIA IN THE NINTH CENTURY? The geographical distribution of the site and stray finds clearly indicates south-western Scandinavia as a region of minting in the ninth century.
